休日のカバン難民になっているジェントルマンのために作りました。
特に持ち物はないけれど、お財布とスマホと鍵なんかをズボンのポッケに入れて歩くのはなんだかなあ。と、ふわっと悩み続けている皆様へ、シンプルでいて主張しすぎない丁度いいバッグが完成しました。しかも超軽量です。

本体の容量はおおよそ3リットルほど。折りたたみ傘、ペットボトルが入ります。
ジッパーはYKKコイルファスナー。頭合わせのスライダー仕様の為、どの位置からでもさくさく開閉できます。 ポケットは内ポケットが1つ。レーヨン100％の赤色です。
ノールックで小物を出し入れできるよう、ファスナーではなくフラップ形式の平面の内ポケットです。鍵やスマートタグなど。大切な小物はここにどうぞ。
ショルダーテープは厚めのナイロン100％。艶感がありアウトドアっぽくなく上品な質感です。

素材は合成皮革ではなく人工皮革を採用しました。
合成皮革と比較すると、より天然皮革に似た構造・質感です。
今どきの言葉を使うと、動物福祉や環境に配慮された、上質なヴィーガンレザーです。
そしてなんといっても軽いのです。このバッグの重量はなんと202g！人工皮革ならではのメリットです。

構造や風合いは本革とは全く違い、ビニールっぽさが目立つ傾向があります。）


この立体のフォルムにCOETのこだわりが詰まっております。
デザインから型紙をおこし、満点のフォルムに着地するまで型紙がどんどんシンプルになっていきました。その経過は我ながら驚きました。
いつだってCOETのバッグは型紙までいかにもCOETです。

毎度のことながらCOETは持ち手を短く持つスタイルが得意なので、めいいっぱいぎゅんぎゅんにして、斜め掛けするのがおすすめです。
小柄な体格でもテープを一番短くすればぎゅんぎゅんで持てます。
斜め掛けせずとも肩掛けでラフに持っても格好いいです。
長〜くしてショルダーバッグのような持ち方でも使いやすいです。

I made it for gentlemen who have become holiday bag refugees. I don't have anything in particular, but I wonder if it's okay to walk around with my wallet, smartphone, and keys in my pants pocket. For those of you who continue to worry softly, we have completed a bag that is simple and not too assertive. And it's super lightweight.

What is Artificial Leather?

  4. ④洗剤が残らないように、水で堅く絞った布で軽く叩き拭き取ります。
  5. ⑤乾いた布で叩くように残った水分を拭き取り、形を整えてから風通しのよい場所に陰干しします。
  6. ⑥通気性のいい場所での保管をお願いします。

Artificial leather has advantages over natural leather, such as being lighter, more durable, and easier to care for. Compared to synthetic leather, it takes more time to make and is therefore more expensive, but its advantages are that it has a texture comparable to that of natural leather and the product is highly durable.

Care

    -Daily Care

  1. (1) Empty the inside and flip the bag upside down to shake off the dust.
  2. (2) Wipe with a soft dry cloth and straighten and/or re-shape.
  3. (3) Store the product in a well-ventilated place.

  8. (5) Wipe off any remaining water by patting the bag dry with a dry cloth. Leave to dry in a shady, well-ventilated place.

背負った時に口が閉まる仕様のため、物の取り出しも簡単です。

スーツを着てハイヒールを履いても、かっこよくリュックを背負いたい。そんなリュックがほしい。 と思い開発しました。
バックパックはカジュアルな印象がありますが、このバッグはビジネスシーンでも大活躍します。
通常のマチのあるバックパックは底面が後方へ垂れてしまうためにみっともない印象になります。
このバックパックは肩ベルトを正面の生地を引っ張ってくるため、底面が地面と平行になります。
ベルトはナイロン100％で艶があり上品な使い心地です。 スーツやハイヒールでも、ピリッと背筋を伸ばしてお使いいただけます。

肩ベルトの長さ調節は残りベルトを垂れないように内側に処理しています。
背負わずにすとんと手をおろした状態でも持ちやすく、ベルトが地面に垂れません。
前面と背面の両側にハンドルがついているので縦長トートバッグとしても活用いただけます。
公共交通機関を使う時はバックパックの持ち方に気を使いますが、リュック特有のわずらわしさはありません。

取り出し口にジッパーはついていないため、スムーズに開閉と取り出しが出来ます。
背負うとクチが閉まるので、モノが落ちることはありません。気になる時は、貴重品はジッパー付きのフロントポケットに入れてください。

DESIGNER’S NOTES

This is a backpack that can be carried stylishly even when wearing a business suit.
It’s made of highly durable Cordura nylon, and the colored straps are specially dyed. It’s designed so that it closes when you carry it on your back, making it easy to load and unload. The inner pocket is a urethane cushioned pocket, perfect for carrying a laptop. Compatible with 15-inch laptops.

I developed this product in search of a cool backpack, one that would look good with a suit and high heels.
Backpacks usually give a casual impression, but this bag is perfect for business situations.

Normally, backpacks with a gusset look shabby because the bottom of the pack hangs backwards.
This is one of the reasons why backpacks look too casual. This backpack has shoulder straps that pull the front fabric, making the bottom parallel to the ground.
The shoulder traps are 100% nylon, shiny and elegant.
You can wear it with a suit and high heels and still look smart.

The length adjustment of the shoulder straps are handled inside to prevent the excess belt from hanging down.
Even when you hold it with your arms down the straps do not hang down to the ground.
With handles on both the front and back, it can also be used as a vertical tote bag.
When using public transportation, you have to be careful how you carry a backpack, but there is no hassle with this one as you can carry it like a tote bag.

There is no zipper on the opening, making it easy to load and unload.
When you carry it on your back, the opening closes, so things won't fall out. You can put valuables in the zippered front pocket.
(If you bow deeply, the opening may open and the contents may fall out. If you are meeting an important person, please carry it by hand, not on your back!)
There are no clasps, so posters and long items can be inserted. (Leeks and baguettes too!)

The cushioned PC pocket is also useful for carrying files and paper documents.

  2. ②泥汚れなどがある場合は柔らかい歯ブラシで取り除きます。
  3. ③ブラッシングで落ちない汚れの場合は衣類用の中性洗剤を薄めたぬるま湯にひたした柔らかい布を固く絞り、軽く叩くように拭き取ります。
  4. ④洗剤が残らないように、水で堅く絞った布で軽く叩き拭き取ります。
  5. ⑤乾いた布で叩くように残った水分を拭き取り、形を整えてから風通しのよい場所に陰干しします。
  6. ⑥通気性のいい場所での保管をお願いします。

コーデュラ1000は裏側に撥水のウレタンコーティングがされておりますが、表面に防水スプレーを吹き付けておくと撥水機能が長持ちします。
その際は広範囲にまんべんなく吹き付けるようにし、同じ個所に長く吹き付けないようにお気を付けください。

Care

To remove dirt from the bag, clean it using a brush. You can use something like a horsehair shoe brush.
To remove dirt or dust, brush it off lightly so as not to damage the fabric.
Do not wash in a washing machine, as washing may hydrolyze and remove the polyurethane coating, thereby reducing the water repellency.
For stains that are difficult to remove, use soapy water and a brush to remove the stain, then wipe the water off and hang it in the shade to dry thoroughly.

持ち手の強度について

持ち手の取付強度試験 (JIS L 1096 A法準用)を実施

鞄の把手や肩ひもの取り付けが、使用中の負荷に対し十分な強度であるかどうかを確認する持ち手の取付強度試験 (JIS L 1096 A法準用)を実施しました。

その結果、容量19リットルに対して正方向263Nという数値が出ました。 （Nはニュートンと呼び、荷重を表す単位です。）
「容量（ℓ）×10N以上」が求められる20ℓ以内のバッグの持ち手強度の基準を満たしております。
紙袋どころではなく、一般的なバッグの基準値も上回る結果となりました。
重いお荷物も安心してお運びいただけます。

A lightweight and durable “paper” bag — won’t tear even if it gets wet in the rain.

You wake up in the morning and stay in bed imagining the coming day. You think, “Today I’ll wear that dress, those boots, and carry that bag…”
You have a feeling that something wonderful will happen: it's going to be another great day. In high spirits, you finish all of the morning odds and ends and just as you're heading out, you suddenly realize "Oh no, this bag won't hold everything I need… But I really want to use this bag today, not that bigger one! Now what am I going to do?”

I find myself in this situation quite often. That’s why I created the Shopper Bag*!
*In Japanese, “shopper” means a paper shopping bag.

Instead of swapping the more compact bag you want to use for a bigger one, you can add this Shopper Bag to your accessory options. What’s great is that it won’t clash with your outfit at all — you’ll look as if you’re carrying a gift or something special. Anything that doesn’t fit in your smaller bag, such as a cardigan or scarf, you can just throw in the Shopper Bag.

about Naoron

Naoron, a new paper-like material made by traditional Japanese paper-manufacturing techniques.

Lightweight, durable, foldable, and does not tear, even when wet — I wanted to make such a paper bag.
Thanks to Naoron, a paper-like material made by a Japanese paper-making process, my crazy dream has been realized. The developer of this amazing paper is Onao, a Japanese paper manufacturer located in Ichikawa Daimon, Yamanashi Prefecture.
They are known for the SIWA series, which many of you might be familiar with. I came across SIWA products soon after I started COET and have long admired this special material. And at last, I got a chance to use Naoron for one of my products.
It’s a terrific fabric that is tough, soft and tactile, with a pleasant creased texture.

Naoron is a new paper-like material developed with the traditional washi-suki papermanufacturing technique, by the Japanese paper maker ONAO based in the Ichikawadaimonarea. It is soft to the touch, light and flexible, yet very strong. The material is also superior inwater resistance and durability that does not tear easily.

Hard Naoron is created from all polyester fibers, of which 60% is made from recycled plastic bottles. The more both Naorons are used, the softer they become offering you the good fit to the hand. Please relish the distinctive crinkle texture and soft touch of our unique paper.

Strength of Handles

We conducted a handle strength test (in accordance with JIS L 1096 A Method) to check whether the bag's handles and shoulder straps are strong enough to withstand the loads they are subjected to during use.

The results showed a positive value of 263 N for a capacity of 19 liters. (N is newton, a unit for expressing load) This means the strength of the handles of bags with a capacity of 20 liters or less meets the standard of "capacity (liters) x 10 N or more".
The test revealed that the Shopper Bag is not only stronger than a paper bag, but also exceeds the standard value for general bags. It can be used for carrying heavy loads.

Material

Naoron + Synthetic leather

The main part of the bag is made of Hard Naoron, and the handle and gusset are made of synthetic leather. For details, please refer to the product specifications page.

Naoron: 100% polyester (60% of which is made from recycled plastic bottle fiber)
Synthetic leather: Outer material is PVC (polyvinyl chloride) / Inner material is polyester

Care

    -Daily Care

  1. (1) Empty the inside and flip the bag upside down to shake off the dust.
  2. (2) Wipe with a soft dry cloth and straighten and/or re-shape.
  3. (3) Store the product in a well-ventilated place.

  4. How to care for Hard Naoron part.
  5. Fill a wash bowl with room temperature water and fully dissolve an adequate amount of detergent. Make sure to completely immerse Hard Naoron part in the water and hand-wash it by gently pushing it up and down. The paper fuzzes if rubbed hard. Then, gently rinse the product with water once or twice until it has no remaining detergent. Absorb moisture with a towel and completely dry the product at a place out of direct sunlight. Do not use an electric device that uses heating elements, such as a hair dryer or iron..
  6. *Please be careful not to immerse the synthetic leather parts in water.

PU synthetic leather and PVC synthetic leather undergo a chemical change called hydrolysis, which is caused by excessive moisture.
Hydrolysis often causes deterioration of synthetic leather (cracking and stickiness), so after cleaning, or if the leather gets wet, wipe it dry carefully.

You can use a commercial glossing wax or protective cream to prevent dirt and dust from sticking to the surface in advance.
Make sure that any waxes or glosses used are safe for synthetic leather products and carefully follow the instructions for use.

本当にシンプルな、ザ・トートバッグです。 金具類は一切ついておりません。
厚すぎない帆布を使用しているので、ごわつきません。
バッグ自体は軽く、持ち手もしっかりとしていますのでたくさん物が入ります。小さな内ポケットは少しだけ便利です。
COET初のシルクスクリーンプリントのロゴをプリントしました。 スタンプのような加工をしておりますので、べったり不自然なプリントでなく少しかすれたような雰囲気に仕上がっています。

DESIGNER’S NOTES

This is a large tote bag that I made for myself for delivering products.
Whenever possible, I try to hand deliver our products.

No metal fittings are used.
There is a pocket on the inside to hold small items. The canvas is not too hard.
The bag itself is lightweight and has a sturdy handle so that you can carry a lot in it.

It has COET's first silk-screen printed logo. It has been processed like a stamp, so the print is not sticky or unnatural, but has a slightly blurred look.

倉敷帆布は現在は廃盤となったシャトル織機で織られています。
高速織機にはない、ゆっくりと織ることで生まれる独特の風合い、職人の経験と感覚で織り成す味わいをお楽しみください。

お手入れ

日常のお手入れ

    乾いた布や毛先の柔らかいブラシなどで早めに汚れを落として下さい。
    帆布の表面に張りを出すために糊付け加工を施してあります。 そのため、擦れた部分が白くなってしまう場合がございます。
    その場合は、毛先の柔らかいブラシ等で表面を軽くブラッシングして頂くことで目立ちにくくなります。
    通気性のいい場所での保管をお願いします。

汚れが気になる時のお手入れ

    蛍光漂白剤の入っていない中性洗剤での手洗いをお奨めします。
    また手洗いをされても、色落ち・しわ・縮みは避けられません。
    のり付加工が取れて張りがなくなり風合いが変化します。
    色移りを防ぐため、他の衣類等と一緒にせず、単独で洗ってください。

保管について

    綿帆布は自然素材ですので湿気に弱いです。
    保管には、直射日光の当たる所・高温多湿の所は避け、カビ・シミを防ぐために、風通しの良い日陰で保管して下さい。

    Remove stains as soon as possible with a dry cloth or a soft brush.
    The surface of the canvas has been starched to make it taut, so it may turn white when rubbed.
    If this happens, brush the surface lightly with a soft brush: this will help to make the white spots less noticeable.

WASHING

    We recommend hand washing with a neutral detergent that does not contain fluorescent bleach.
    Even when hand-washed, some color fading, wrinkling, and shrinking are inevitable.
    In some cases, the starched processing may fade, causing the fabric to lose its stiffness.
    To prevent color transfer, wash separately.

STORAGE

    Since cotton canvas is a natural material, it is sensitive to moisture.
    Please avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures and high humidity, and store in a well-ventilated, shady place to prevent mold and stains.

頭陀袋とは本来、仏教の僧侶が“頭陀行”を行う際に用いた袋です。
“頭陀行”とは煩悩を払い去って仏道を求める修行です。
寺院で育ったため、幼いころから頭陀袋は身近な存在でした。
使い勝手がよさそうで、でも在家の人間が使うものではないんだろうと感じていました。
お坊さんでなくても誰でも気軽に使えるように、超カジュアルに作ってみました。

金具類は一切ついておりません。
縦長のバッグが、肩紐を付けて持つと上部がフラップになります。
肩紐の結ぶ位置でショルダー部分の長さを変えることが出来ます。 短くして片方のショルダー持ちにしてもモダンで素敵です。
また、ショルダー紐でなく持ち手でトートバッグとして使うと、ポスターや長いものなどを持ち運ぶ際に重宝します。

DESIGNER’S NOTES

A zudabukuro was originally a bag used by Buddhist monks when practicing zudagyo, the practice of sweeping away worries and seeking the Buddha's Way.
I made a COET version of a zudabukuro.
I was born and grew up in a Buddhist temple, so this bag has a special meaning for me.

No metal fittings are used.
When the shoulder strap is attached, the top part of the bag becomes a flap.
The length of the shoulder strap can be adjusted where you tie the strap.
When the strap is fully extended, it is long enough for men to carry like a crossbody, and when tied short, it can be carried on a single shoulder for a more "modern" look.
Without the straps, it can be used to carry posters or other long items.

We have created a special bag reflecting COET’s style.

As a designer, I always strive to make novel things that no one has ever seen before. I wondered if it would be possible to create a completely new way to open and close a bag without using a zipper or other, standard types of clasps.

滑らかでマットな質感です。厚みがありしっかりとした合皮です。使用しているうちに上品な艶が出てきます。

  1. ①中を空にして、ゴミをふるい落とします。
  2. ②やわらかい布で全体を乾拭きし、形を整えます。

汚れが気になる時のお手入れ

  1. ①中を空にして、ゴミをふるい落とします。
  2. ②泥汚れなどがある場合は柔らかい歯ブラシで取り除きます。
  3. ③衣類用の中性洗剤を薄めたぬるま湯にひたした柔らかい布を固く絞り、軽く叩くように拭き取ります。
  4. ④洗剤が残らないように、水で堅く絞った布で軽く叩き拭き取ります。
  5. ⑤乾いた布で叩くように残った水分を拭き取り、形を整えてから風通しのよい場所に陰干しします。
  6. ⑥通気性のいい場所での保管をお願いします。

PU レザー・PVC レザーは、水分によって「加水分解」という化学変化を起こします。
加水分解は合皮レザーの劣化 ( ひび割れやベタつき ) の原因になることが多いので、お手入れ後や、
濡れてしまった場合には、丁寧に乾拭きを行ってください。

市販の艶出し用ワックスや保護クリームを使うと、汚れやほこりの付着を事前に防ぐことができます。
その際は必ず合成皮革使用可と表示のあるものを使用し、取扱説明書をよくお読みください。

As a designer, I always strive to make novel things that no one has ever seen before. I wondered if it would be possible to create a completely new way to open and close a bag without using a zipper or other, standard types of clasps.

PU レザー・PVC レザーは、水分によって「加水分解」という化学変化を起こします。
加水分解は合皮レザーの劣化 ( ひび割れやベタつき ) の原因になることが多いので、お手入れ後や、
濡れてしまった場合には、丁寧に乾拭きを行ってください。

市販の艶出し用ワックスや保護クリームを使うと、汚れやほこりの付着を事前に防ぐことができます。
その際は必ず合成皮革使用可と表示のあるものを使用し、取扱説明書をよくお読みください。

都会に住む私たちは自然の中にいることが非日常となってしまいました。

しかしよくお話を伺うと、皆さんそれぞれいろんなものを背負い、抱え、必死で毎日を走っておられるのだと感じます。それでも頑張る。働き者の皆様よ。
何を隠そう、私もそのうちの一人です。 生きていればいろいろなことがあります。
2018年、あるきっかけがありハイキングにいそしむようになりました。
当初は達成感とか爽快さなどの目的はなく、ただ悲しみとか辛さとか、そういった感情を手放したくてふと思い立って登ってみたのです。
京都のお寺で生まれ育った私にとっては特に、無になる瞬間が必要でした。
本格的な登山ではなく、ケーブルカーやおみやげ物屋が並ぶような山中を歩き、下山後は温泉に入りビールを飲む。ひと月のうちの1日くらいはこんな休日を過ごすこと。一人きりでです。今はこれがわたしの救いとなっています。 人一人が救われるということはそうはありません。
きっと私以外にも救われるべき人たちがいるはずだと思い、みなさんにハイキングを啓発しようと。

悲しいこと、苦しいこと、生きていればそれなりにあります。目や耳をふさぎたくなることもありますが、自然豊かな場所にいると本来は五感は自分自身の味方だったんだと思えるのです。
川のせせらぎと鳥の声、ざっざっと歩む音、はあはあと吐く息、無限の色数、朝露の冷たさ、五感から入ってくる情報は都会にいる時とは質が違います。いつも勝手に脳内会議をしだす自我はその時ばかりは休憩してくれています。どんな情報も実体験にはかないません。
どんなことがあっても心を真ん中に戻すことができる習慣です。

Paracord is a high load-bearing rope developed for military parachutes.
Made of high quality paracord that is Mil-Spec compliant.
It has low moisture absorption so it dries quickly even after exposure to rain and is mold-resistant.
The paracord is attached with a bowline knot and a carabiner so it can be removed.
Paracord can be used in a variety of ways in case of emergency.

For those of us living in the city, being out in nature has become an extraordinary experience.
I’ve always felt that women working in the city are really hard workers. They look brilliant even in such a stressful world.
However, when I talk to them, I realize that they all have a lot of weight on their shoulders and are struggling to get through each day. And yet, they still do their best. You’re all hard-working people.
To tell you the truth, I’m one of them.
So many things happen in life.
In 2018, I started getting into hiking.
Initially, it wasn’t about the sense of accomplishment or exhilaration; I just wanted to let go of sadness, pain, and all the other emotions.
I needed a moment of nothingness, especially since I was born and raised in a temple in Kyoto.
It wasn’t a hardcore mountain hike. I’d use cable cars and walk along the trails lined with souvenir shops, followed by a hot spring bath and a beer. At least once a month, I’d spend a day like this. All by myself. This is my salvation now. It's not every day that one person is saved.
I'm sure there are other people who need to be saved, and I'm trying to tell everyone about hiking.

There’s a certain amount of sadness and pain in life. There are times when you want to close your eyes and ears, but when you’re in nature, you realize that your senses are on your side.
The sound of the stream and the birds, the sound of your footsteps and breath, the infinite colors, the coolness of the morning dew...the information coming in through your senses is a lot different from when you’re in the city. The ego, which always starts to inflate in my mind, takes a break when you’re in nature. No amount of information can compare to actual experience.
This is a habit that can bring your mind back to the center, no matter what happens.

都会に住む私たちは自然の中にいることが非日常となってしまいました。
都内で働く女性たちは本当に頑張り屋さんだと常々感じます。ストレスフルな社会でよくもまあ皆さん輝いていらっしゃる。
しかしよくお話を伺うと、皆さんそれぞれいろんなものを背負い、抱え、必死で毎日を走っておられるのだと感じます。それでも頑張る。働き者の皆様よ。
何を隠そう、私もそのうちの一人です。 生きていればいろいろなことがあります。
2018年、あるきっかけがありハイキングにいそしむようになりました。
当初は達成感とか爽快さなどの目的はなく、ただ悲しみとか辛さとか、そういった感情を手放したくてふと思い立って登ってみたのです。
京都のお寺で生まれ育った私にとっては特に、無になる瞬間が必要でした。
本格的な登山ではなく、ケーブルカーやおみやげ物屋が並ぶような山中を歩き、下山後は温泉に入りビールを飲む。ひと月のうちの1日くらいはこんな休日を過ごすこと。一人きりでです。今はこれがわたしの救いとなっています。 人一人が救われるということはそうはありません。
きっと私以外にも救われるべき人たちがいるはずだと思い、みなさんにハイキングを啓発しようと。

悲しいこと、苦しいこと、生きていればそれなりにあります。目や耳をふさぎたくなることもありますが、自然豊かな場所にいると本来は五感は自分自身の味方だったんだと思えるのです。
川のせせらぎと鳥の声、ざっざっと歩む音、はあはあと吐く息、無限の色数、朝露の冷たさ、五感から入ってくる情報は都会にいる時とは質が違います。いつも勝手に脳内会議をしだす自我はその時ばかりは休憩してくれています。どんな情報も実体験にはかないません。
どんなことがあっても心を真ん中に戻すことができる習慣です。
新しい時代が始まりました。
体と心を整えて、生きていきましょう。

TWO COMPARTMENTS FOR EASY USE

The main body has two compartments, one at the top and one at the bottom.
The zippered divider can be opened to create a large single compartment.

For those of us living in the city, being out in nature has become an extraordinary experience.
I’ve always felt that women working in the city are really hard workers. They look brilliant even in such a stressful world.
However, when I talk to them, I realize that they all have a lot of weight on their shoulders and are struggling to get through each day. And yet, they still do their best. You’re all hard-working people.
To tell you the truth, I’m one of them.
So many things happen in life.
In 2018, I started getting into hiking.
Initially, it wasn’t about the sense of accomplishment or exhilaration; I just wanted to let go of sadness, pain, and all the other emotions.
I needed a moment of nothingness, especially since I was born and raised in a temple in Kyoto.
It wasn’t a hardcore mountain hike. I’d use cable cars and walk along the trails lined with souvenir shops, followed by a hot spring bath and a beer. At least once a month, I’d spend a day like this. All by myself. This is my salvation now. It's not every day that one person is saved.
I'm sure there are other people who need to be saved, and I'm trying to tell everyone about hiking.

There’s a certain amount of sadness and pain in life. There are times when you want to close your eyes and ears, but when you’re in nature, you realize that your senses are on your side.
The sound of the stream and the birds, the sound of your footsteps and breath, the infinite colors, the coolness of the morning dew...the information coming in through your senses is a lot different from when you’re in the city. The ego, which always starts to inflate in my mind, takes a break when you’re in nature. No amount of information can compare to actual experience.
This is a habit that can bring your mind back to the center, no matter what happens.

  3. ③ブラッシングで落ちない汚れの場合は衣類用の中性洗剤を薄めたぬるま湯にひたした柔らかい布を固く絞り、軽く叩くように拭き取ります。
  4. ④洗剤が残らないように、水で堅く絞った布で軽く叩き拭き取ります。
  5. ⑤乾いた布で叩くように残った水分を拭き取り、形を整えてから風通しのよい場所に陰干しします。
  6. ⑥通気性のいい場所での保管をお願いします。

コーデュラは裏側に撥水のウレタンコーティングがされておりますが、表面に防水スプレーを吹き付けておくと撥水機能が長持ちします。
その際は広範囲にまんべんなく吹き付けるようにし、同じ個所に長く吹き付けないようにお気を付けください。

Care

To remove dirt from the bag, clean it using a brush. You can use something like a horsehair shoe brush.
To remove dirt or dust, brush it off lightly so as not to damage the fabric.
Do not wash in a washing machine, as washing may hydrolyze and remove the polyurethane coating, thereby reducing the water repellency.
For stains that are difficult to remove, use soapy water and a brush to remove the stain, then wipe the water off and hang it in the shade to dry thoroughly.

令和2年7月1日より、全国でプラスチック製買物袋は有料化となりました。
この機会にせっかくなので私が使っている買い物バッグを商品化しました。
この商品はタイベックという生地から出来ています。
タイベックは高密度ポリエチレン100％製の強靭で耐久性のある不織布です。
超軽量で、通気性、耐水性、耐久性があり、強度があるすごい生地です。
紙のような見た目、軽さですが、丈夫です。
※先のとがったものを入れると穴が開き、そこから破れる場合があります。ご注意ください。

この商品はstudioCOETで手作業で加工しておりますが、タイベックバッグのボディ自体は中国製です。
縫い目は荒く、雑なので、気になる方はご遠慮ください。
両サイドのリボンを結ばず、ひらひらとさせたままでもかわいいのでお好きなようにお使いください。

（初期はstudioCOETのみで生産しておりましたが、一人では追いつかないため2021年より福島の職人さんにも作ってもらっています。）

DESIGNER’S NOTES

As of July 2020, stores in Japan began charging customers for plastic shopping bags.
I took this opportunity to develop the shopping bags that I had crafted for myself into a product.
This product is made of Tyvek, which is a tough and durable non-woven fabric made of 100% high-density polyethylene. It is an amazing fabric that is water resistant, water repellent, and breathable.
It looks like paper and is extremely light, but it’s actually strong and unbreakable.

This product is assembled by hand at studio COET, but please note the blank Tyvek bag itself is made in China.

毛玉が出来てきますし、生地はふにゃふにゃになり新品の時と質感が変わってしまいます。
それでもよろしければ、赤の紐は巻き込まれないよう結んでから、衣類用の中性洗剤を入れていつも通りに洗濯してください。
※乾燥機にはかけないでください。
※アイロンは絶対に使用しないでください。

Material

Tyvek (high-density polyethylene)

This product is made of Tyvek, which is a tough and durable non-woven fabric made of 100% high-density polyethylene. It is an amazing fabric that is water resistant, water repellent, and breathable.

Care

Generally, Tyvek is not a “washable” fabric, but I put it in the washing machine anyway.
I’ve been washing mine even if it wears the fabric out. I want to keep it as clean as possible since I use it for grocery shopping and put food directly inside it.
However, after washing, the fabric starts to pill and become soft; it won’t have the same texture after it’s been washed.
If you still want to wash it, make sure you tie the red string so that it doesn’t get tangled, and wash it in a normal mode using a mild clothing detergent.
Do not put it in the dryer.

私はモノづくりをする際、自分の使いたいもの、必要なものを作ります。
COETの商品は私の実生活から生まれます。
出産経験のない私にとって、マザーズバッグは実生活から遠い存在でした。
今回の企画の話をいただいたときにそういった戸惑いがあったのですが、実際に子育て中のCINRAの小島さんとの共同開発となるということで、それならぜひとお返事をさせていただきました。
バッグのデザインはCOETの既存商品である「Cordura BACKPACK」を基にし、そこからどう発展させるか、という話し合いから始まりました。
育児と仕事を両立する小島さんの実体験から出るアイディアや感覚はとても貴重なものでした。サンプルアップの度に彼女に実際に使ってもらい、より心地よく使いやすく改善していったので、最終的にお互いに十分納得のいくものが完成しました。
CINRA.STOREとのコラボレーションでなければ、COETには作ることのできなかったバッグです。
子育て前も、子育て中も、その先も、ぜひ。

A bag which CINRA.STORE developed jointly with COET, a popular bag brand. The Parents Backpack is a backpack designed for all women and men who are raising children.

What’s called a “mother bag” is usually overwhelmingly decorative or feminine in design, and there are few that can be used by both moms and dads.
This project started from such doubts and dissatisfaction, and the person in charge of the project, who is also the mother of a child, incorporated functions that would only be seen as essential from a parent's perspective. It is also designed to be both functional and fashionable, so that you will want to continue using it even after you have finished raising your child.

DESIGNER’S NOTES

When I create things, I make what I want to use and what I need.
COET's products are born from my reality.

As I have never given birth, a mother's bag was a far cry from my reality.
When I was approached about this project, I was a bit confused, but when I found out that it would be co-developed with Naoko Kojima of CINRA, who is actually raising a child, I agreed to do it.
The design of the Parents Backpack was based on COET's existing product, the Cordura Backpack, and we began by discussing how to develop it from there.
The ideas that came from Naoko Kojima's actual experience of balancing work and childcare were extremely valuable. Each time we updated a sample, she actually used it, and we made improvements to make each version more comfortable and easier to use, so in the end we were both fully satisfied with this product.

Without the collaboration with CINRA.STORE, COET would not have been able to create this bag.

汚れが気になる時のお手入れ

  1. ①中を空にして、ゴミをふるい落とします。
  2. ②泥汚れなどがある場合は柔らかい歯ブラシで取り除きます。
  3. ③ブラッシングで落ちない汚れの場合は衣類用の中性洗剤を薄めたぬるま湯にひたした柔らかい布を固く絞り、軽く叩くように拭き取ります。
  4. ④洗剤が残らないように、水で堅く絞った布で軽く叩き拭き取ります。
  5. ⑤乾いた布で叩くように残った水分を拭き取り、形を整えてから風通しのよい場所に陰干しします。
  6. ⑥通気性のいい場所での保管をお願いします。

撥水加工がされておりますが、表面に防水スプレーを吹き付けておくと撥水機能が長持ちします。
その際は広範囲にまんべんなく吹き付けるようにし、同じ個所に長く吹き付けないようにお気を付けください。

Care

To remove dirt from the bag, clean it using a brush. You can use something like a horsehair shoe brush.
To remove dirt or dust, brush it off lightly so as not to damage the fabric.
Do not wash in a washing machine, as washing may hydrolyze and remove the polyurethane coating, thereby reducing the water repellency.
For stains that are difficult to remove, use soapy water and a brush to remove the stain, then wipe the water off and hang it in the shade to dry thoroughly.

1枚布で出来たシンプルなお札入れです。
いつもパンツのポケットにお金をそのまま入れている男性のために製作しました。
マネークリップのような大きな金具がついていないので、ポケットに入れてこけたりしゃがんだりしても、怪我をしません。 身体をよく動かす仕事の方やポケットのお札がすぐなくなってしまう方へ。
厚みがないので、ポケットに入れていても違和感がなくポケットがもっこりなりません。

私の主人はスケートボーダーで、いつもお札をポケットにそのまま入れていました。 そして帰宅してソファに座れば、くちゃくちゃのお金がこぼれるのが日常でした。
お金は大切！もっと大事にしてほしい！という気持ちで、このお札入れを作りました。
スケーターは太ももや腰の動きが激しく、可動域も大きいです。そしてよく転びます。
転んでも危なくなく、パフォーマンスの妨げにならず、ポケットに収まるものが必要でした。
そのため、硬いマネークリップなど大きな金具を使わずに、ズボンのポケットに入れても膨らまず、しなやかでしかも薄い。 そんなお札入れを開発しました。
とっても簡単な作りですが、工夫をこらした愛情たっぷりのお札入れです。
現在も喜んで使ってくれています。

DESIGNER’S NOTES

This is a simple billfold made of a single piece of fabric.
It is made for men who always keep their money in their pant pockets.
It does not have large metal fittings like a money clip, so it will not cause discomfort if you fall or squat with it in your pocket.
Designed for people on the move who are likely to lose the money tucked away in their pockets.
This item is slim, so it fits neatly in your pocket without looking or feeling bulky.

My husband is a skateboarder and he was always carrying his bills in his pocket.
Every time he sat down on the couch, his money would spill out of his pocket and make a mess.
I wanted him to handle money more carefully and actually value it, so I bought him this billfold.
Skaters move their thighs and hips a lot, have a sweeping range of motion, and often fall.
So this wallet had to be something that would not be dangerous if they fell, something that would not interfere with their performance, and would fit neatly in a pocket.
For this reason, I developed a billfold that is flexible and slim enough to be placed in a pant pocket without bulging, and which didn’t have large metal fittings, such as a stiff money clip.
This is where the inspiration and idea for this billfold came from.
I put a lot of thought into designing this simply, but it was born out of love.
My husband loves it and uses it every single day.

市販の艶出し用ワックスや保護クリームを使うと、汚れやほこりの付着を事前に防ぐことができます。
その際は必ず合成皮革使用可と表示のあるものを使用し、取扱説明書をよくお読みください。

When you use a small bag that doesn’t fit a longer wallet.
I often use it when I go to a local bar. (In Japan, there are still many bars that only accept cash!)
The wallet can’t hold much, making it a perfect compact “sub-wallet.”
